Mission statement

Multicultural Careers provides professional career development services that empower culturally diverse people to develop the tools needed to gain meaningful employment in Australia. I strive to understand my clients’ career goals from their perspective. Consultations are conducted with respect for their future career plans.

About me

As the child of migrant parents, one of whom was a refugee, I understand the challenges that migrants face in job seeking. Navigating Australian workplace culture, employment services systems and career development processes can be difficult to understand, and hard to access if English is not your first language. 

My goal is to offer services that increase understanding of the job market and assist clients to develop the tools to be more competitive in their job seeking efforts. 

I’m skilled in career development, case management, client advocacy and research. My many years' experience working with people from culturally diverse backgrounds includes assisting migrants and humanitarian entrants such as refugees and asylum seekers. I’m also professional writer/editor, and a qualified TESOL teacher.

My comprehensive experience includes 5 years’ spent researching career information, vocational and occupational profiling, and conducting labour market research. I mapped Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET), apprenticeship and traineeships programs and university qualifications against 500+ occupations. 

I hold professional memberships with the Career Development Association of Australia and the Institute of Professional Editors.
